Andrew Malcolm posts in the Los Angeles Times, today March 23, 2009, at "Top of the Ticket," that the public is looking at northern California Congressman Pete Stark's tax records, because there is some confusion as to which tax law he follows: California or Maryland.
Since the 1970s, Stark has been known as the only Congressman, who keeps his House office phone number, as unlisted. This is only a slight joke, because everyone understands that Mr. Stark is not of this planet.
He is the only politician who lists his religious affiliation as, "Atheist."
This means that God doesn't even know how to get in touch with him, during a disaster.
I doubt that 99% of his constituents could identify him in a lineup.
He is a very liberal guy, elected during the turmoil of the Vietnam war, and liked his office so much that he decided taking the elevator for a vote, was no different than talking with his own voters.
Actually, no one in his left-wing district gives a s---t, whether he shows up or not....as long as he doesn't screw around with their right to smoke a joint, without police interference.
Pete Stark should be left alone on this tax issue, because he answers to a "higher" authority....his constituents.
