California, once again, put the screws to the people who fight our fires, dig us out of earthquakes, and are forced to do 2-3-4 tours of duty in Iraq.
The less than golden state, became the only state in the union, not to grant 3 million dollars in funding for college scholarships to the men and women of California who do the tough and dirty work for our society.
This is the same state that spent, according to the Secretary of State, 60-90 million dollars in order to push their primary from June to February 5th.
One can still be against the war in Iraq and still support the men and women of California, who just want to do a good thing for the citizens, without being punished for it.
This has been an on-going story in the Los Angeles Times, and reporter Janice Vogel has been writing about this sad situation for over a year.
It's about time that the men and women in the California Legislature, grew up, and gave the National Guard, a token of their appreciation.
