Why John Kerry's Endorsement of Barack Obama Helps-Not Hurt

I was channel surfing today, when Mary Matalin, old GOPer, and wife of former Clinton guy, James Carvelle, was knocking, on Fox News, the endorsement by Senator John Kerry for Senator Barack Obama. (Jan. 10, 2008)
She wasn't alone, some other guests on other cable networks, didn't think it mattered much because Kerry lost the Presidency, 4 years ago.

They also indicated that it was opposite to the "outside" campaign Mr. Obama is running.

Of course, they forgot to mention that this is the primary, which Kerry won, and not the general election, in which the Senator from Massachusetts lost by only one state--Ohio.

Compared to Mrs. Clinton, the entire United States Senate could endorse Barack Obama, and he would still be considered an outsider.

There are a lot of Democrats, still driving their cars with a "Kerry for President" bumper sticker.

It won't sway the entire election, but after Obama's narrow loss (3%) to Senator Clinton in New Hampshire, it is a definite boost for candidate Barack Obama, just a few weeks before super-duper Tuesday, Feb. 5th 2008.
